Re: wolf ammo
Not trying to be rude, but did you do a search?
There was a pretty long thread on this subject not very long ago.
Most seem to have no trouble with it. Some won't touch it. Some have trouble with it in certain firearms. I use it in my SKS, but still haven't tried it in any of my handguns.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: wolf ammo
I have had no problems with wolf in my glocks, ak's or ar's. I shoot whatever is cheapest and that's usually wolf.

Re: wolf ammo
Yeah, a search here or on any gun forum will give you 100X more info than you ever wanted. At the end you will be no wiser for the reasons Emptymag stated.
Best is to buy a box and try it out. BTW, I use it without issue.

Re: wolf ammo
Well the thread is already started so what the heck...
My personal experience and musings on Wolf.
Note: this concerns STEEL CASE...the newer brass case wolf should not be an issue.
Great ammo for the AK's (7.62x39) and SKS.
My M-1 carbine does not like the steel case wolf, I no longer use steel case wolf in my .45 either. My once fired brass has the slight extractor indent on the brass...not so on steel case...wonder what part is wearing in my .45?
Some reports from AR users on steel case (.223) not working to well in AR platforms, but then again I watched a guy plink mag after mag (probably 200 rounds) without a hiccup.
I stay away from the steel case in all but my AK's, Mausers and SKS's. Don't own a Mosin but 7.62x54 will be fine as well.
Some of the more "finicky" guns with fragile or smaller ejectors etc...may be more sensitive to the steel case stuff.
Wolf is great ammo for the price, just buy a little first and try it out before you buy in bulk.
My .02....and welcome to PAFOA.Last edited by 762xIan; June 18th, 2007 at 06:22 PM.
