Question On Reciprocity
I have my LTCF in PA and FL I am trying to figure out exactly why a UT LTCF would be a benifit over the FL. I know the UT is cheaper then FL. Other then expense what would be the benefit? The first map below show PA combined with FL and the second shows PA combined with UT.
The PA/FL total is 32
PA/UT is 33
PA/FL allows KS as extra
PA/UT allows MN and WA as extras
Anything I'm missing? Getting a headach ...

Re: Question On Reciprocity
If you already have a FL, getting a UT is pointless. Same would be true if you already had a UT.

Re: Question On Reciprocity
I dont see any real benefit either. My FL permit is valid up here, verified with FL and PA. Only had to update my address in the FL databse so it properly coincides. I dont know how it works as far as handgun purchases up here as I have not bought one yet, but in FL there was a 72 hr wait period...unless you had a CCW permit than it was take home the same day. I say save the money and buy more Ammo.

Re: Question On Reciprocity
I don't know why several people responded that UT is pointless if you have FL. Like the OP said, UT gets you recognition in WA and MN, which FL does not. IF you have occasion to visit either of those two states, UT is most definitely not pointless. I had occasion to visit WA on business 4 weeks since March of this year, and was able to carry.
The fact that KS recognizes FL permits for people that are not FL residents is new in the past month or two (they used to only recognize it for FL residents). If you have occasion to visit KS, then a FL permit is warranted.Clinging to guns and God in PA...

Re: Question On Reciprocity
I *almost* put - "not worth it unless you travel to those two states." I figured most would understand that point without making it. I should know to never assume.

Re: Question On Reciprocity
Hi Mark how are you keeping
I have always said it depends on the individual, some folks visit WA, MN some folks visit fla recip states, some folks prefer sending in their hunting license and prints and get a 7yr permit, others prefer taking a out of state instructors class for Utah. For some its about money, others it ease.
Anyone who advocates one over the other is not doing the general carrying public any favors only making themselve's feel good
