Homeowner shoots invasion suspect

JUNIATA PARK - August 22, 2009 (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating an attempted home invasion in Juniata Park.
The incident occurred around 4:45 a.m. in the 4300 block of I Street.
Police say two men, both armed with guns, forced their way into the home and demanded money from the homeowner.
During the incident, the homeowner took out his own gun and fired several shots at the men

The two fled the scene.
The homeowner struck one of the suspects.
According to police, one of the intruders dropped his gun, which police found at the scene.
Officials were able to track down one of the shot suspects. The other remains at large.
