To all who critique spelling and punctuation of other people Headline in Newspapers
Man Kills Self Before Shooting Wife and Daughter
This one I caught in the SGV Tribune the other day and called the Editorial Room and asked who wrote this. It took two or three readings before the editor realized that what he was reading was impossible!!! They put in a correction the next day.

I think you meant "other peopleS HeadlineS".
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

What also is bad is when they use puns to try and be "clever". And most times they go too far to try and make a pun work. To me it just ends up sounding stupid.

Re: To all who critique spelling and punctuation of other people Headline in Newspape
I was stationed in South Korea in the summer of 2002 with the US Army. For those that don't remember, that was when the North Koreans admitted to the US in diplomatic talks that they did in fact have a nuclear weapons program. The front page headline in the Stars and Stripes newspaper the next day was:
US, ALLIES DEMAND NORTH KOREA DROP NUKES
Needless to say, those of us within range of said nukes (not to mention several hundred thousand pieces of conventional artillery) did NOT think that was a good idea. It was the talk of the base for a few days, and pretty funny. I still have a copy of the paper somewhere.
