At least AK's Come in a tactical version and many different versions. Hi-Point is just DAMN!! but people still buy them so they must be doing something right? I think? NOT.

If you shoot a Hi-Point....... 2seconds later you should have your answer on if it is a good pistol or not. Never buy a Hi-Point unless your just desperate and even then dont buy one, just wait until you get the money to buy something worth having. First hand experience bro. Grade A TRASH!

wanna hear something funny? i thought the trigger was alot better than other guns i've shot. i ran a Sigma for years, and wished it had the Hi Point trigger. and that Keltec trigger? daaaaaaaaaaaaamn, it was long.

    although it's nowhere near a 1911, i don't think they're triggers are too bad.

For the money you are not going to find another option. 150$ get you a gun that goes bang, and has a warranty. Are there better guns? YES of course there are. They are a budget item, but better than any of the Ring of Fire options at the same pricepoint.

I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).
