Default Almost fainted....Found some ammo at Wal-Mart

I almost fainted this afternoon when I walked into the Kennett Sqaure Wal-mart, and actually found some ammo! They had 4 boxes of Winchester 115 grn hardball 9mm and several boxes of . 30-30......I wished I could have bought it all. I walked out with 2 boxes of the 9mm and a box of Remington 170 grn .30-30.

Been hearing stories of Wal-Mart employees getting on the horn and calling their friends as soon as the ammo shipments arrive, and then the ammo disappears before lunchtime. A guy today told me he heard of a guy who walked in with an attorney friend and when the store wouldn't sell him all the available ammo in a certain brand and caliber, his lawyer buddy spoke up and said a few choice legal words and out the guy went with all the store had. Guess that limit the store is putting on buyers doesn't hold water if the right people are with you. Don't know if this is true, but if it is, it shows that people are panicking, unduly IMO but they are panicking. I'm happy to stock up a few boxes at a time.

True, and I do reload some for my rare rifle calibers, but, since I don't shoot my handguns all that much, its not really cost effective for me to reload handgun ammo. I stockpile just enough handgun ammo to get me through any drought but that's it.

I acknowledge what you're saying, but... I guess we'll have to agree to disagree...

Ah, well, to each his own...
