My Wifes Negative CC/ Gun T shirt encounter

My wife just called me from Wegman's in Wilkes-Barre with an interesting tale.

She pulled into the parking lot as another lady pulled in beside her. New York plates, liberal granola cruncher stickers and proud mom of "insert name of your snot eating child's hobby here" stickers. 30ish granola cruncher in a gypsie skirt gets out and spots my wife's ALCOHOL TOBACCO & FIREARMS, WHO IS BRING THE CHIPS? T shirt. She sneers.

My wife ignores her.

Granola cruncher"Guns are evil."

Mrs. Thelemite "Not when you are protecting yourself."

Granolaete"It doesn't have to be the wild west you know?!"

Mrs. Thelemite "Guns protect people, if someone was trying to hurt or kill you, you would want one."

Granolaete Huffs " You don't really have a gun do you?"

Mrs. Thelemite" Ruger sp101" walking off to shop. "stainless"

Granolaete dumbfounded silence probably last seen fleeing back to nyc.

Shouldn't there be some sort of entry requirement to stop the jersey and new york scum from pouring over the border every Friday afternoon ?
Been driving up to Nanticoke from Easton every weekend to get my new house ready, and 80W is a nightmare with everyone of the "granola crunchers" (good one, btw, I'm going to start using it) sitting in the leftmost lane going the under the speed limit (or alternatively, the speed of sound) and being dumbfounded by the fact that we actually have extra lanes where you don't see brake lights for the next 20 miles.

What tears me up the most about them is that they're always looking for a fight. How often do any of us go looking for a fight with the libs ? If we did, they would find some way to classify us as "terrorists" or get the ACLU after us. They can dish it out, but never take it. Seriously...there should be a fence at the PA border...the Delaware is an ineffective moat.

Kudos on your wife's t-shirt though ! If I had been there, I would've given her a high five !!!

+rep your wife for me. These encounters are of the "feel good" kind.
I wouldn't attempt to conversate or educate some random hippie who's opening line is "guns are evil". Your wife left the granola queen thinking, "maybe she's right". Instead of trying to debate logic, where ultimately we lose, because liberals don't deal in logic, its too straight forward and to the point.

Also, Wegmans is OC friendly, keep shopping there!

haha, thats awesome. good for your wife. i think thats the biggest difference between liberals and conservatives. a liberal has to be involved in your business, a conservative just wants left alone.

its like I say around here to the maryland crowd, route 83 goes both ways.

my buddy is a hardcore liberal and I started noticing that when he's mad at me when we're arguing politics, he'll go offline.....LOL

funny thing is...he's very pro-gun..it's hard finding liberals who are pro-gun, IMO.
