    Default LTCF turn in?

Does anyone know if when you move out of state you are required to turn in your LTCF? Or are you just suppose to hang onto it until it expires?

Nothing in the UFA about this. But there may be certain sheriffs who try to impose a rule like this, although I have not heard of it.

    My opinion...just hang onto it.

I called to inform the sheriff of my new out of state address and asked the same question. I was told to just let it expire. I'm hoping to be back IN state before it does!

Its good until it expires....is this really any different than a non-res having a PA LTCF?

I did not realize that non-residents were allowed to get a PA LTCF..

They are if they possess a carry permit/license from their home state...if their state does issue them.

You still owe me dinner from my birthday. Like I said, I gave up on the spanking....I still want dinner though.

Never heard of something like this. I could very well be wrong, BUT, if you have reciprocity with the state you are moving to, hold onto until it expires and then apply for one in the state you reside in.

Some states have a time limit to apply for a resident's permit (license). I know TN requires that if you move into the state you have 6 months to apply. Be sure to check other states laws before you just assume that your PA LTCF is good until it expires as this is not always the case.

But I have found no requirment that you turn in your PA LTCF
