    Default Trap shooting

Does anyone know of any place, public or private, near Scranton were I can shoot clay birds? It seems that most Game & Wildlife Commission ranges around here prohibit shooting clays.

I wouldn't mind knowing the answer to this as well.

The range in Archbald has a shotgun range. I did see people shooting clay birds there. I received a new thrower for Christmas. Wouldn't mind trying it out.

I don't remember seeing it the last time I went. I'll be going again next week to sight the muzzleloader and I'll take a second look.

When you come up the driveway for Archbald, the shotgun range is on the left.

Factoryville Sportsman Club has trap shoots. Mill City Sportsman Club has public shoots every Thursday and the first Sunday I think the fee is 3 or 3.50 per round of trap, bring your own shells and shotgun. There are lots of other ranges around as well. If you want to go it alone you need to go to Archbald range or find a friend with some space.

Yep. Near a tree. I believe there was even a sign.

Went there today and found the shotgun range. The problem is that there are no signs other than a "no littering" sign nearby.

Also took my son to try the muzzleloader. Of course he only shot with 50 gr of powder. He enjoyed it.

i go up there all the time with my brother and we shoot tons of claybirds, the no littering signs just mean to take your trash with you when your done. just be careful shooting to the right, the pistol range is right on the other side of the trees.
