From the latest IDPA handbook

Contestants may be anyone who can legally bear arms.

Juniors, ages 12 years through 20 years, may also compete in
IDPA matches when not prohibited by law and when allowed by
the hosting club. Additionally, the parent or legal guardian must
accompany the junior contestant during the entire match. (State
and Local laws vary and may be applicable. The Gun Control Act
of 1968 and possibly other Federal regulations govern the use of
handguns and ammunition by juveniles.)

my son is 12. He is very experianced, and very safe. He shoots CMP with me all the time, he has gone through shoot houses and done moving and shooting stages at group shoots.

can he shoot?

seems this will have to wait until next season anyway.

the lil' buck is heading up to tionesta this weekend with his gandpap and pals to ride quads and shoot.

and it looks like Annie Oakley will be working.

Shawn wish your people were coming but i have some people you can baby sit instead. Mrs Mtn ,myself Butlerrite and karen, Ed and cindy steffen Java programer, BeDevel and Degado i think? I cant think of who all i asked, o well chemo brain i guess just so i dont forget the ammo i should be alright. Really looking forward to the world of idpa i need some stress rellief. See you all there , Jan works till 4 so will shoot a little later then we can grab some grub at my girls sports bar right down the road 1 mile. Cant wait will clean guns today and lay clothes out, Ha ha. Mtn Jack

Rain or shine we WILL DEFINITELY shoot on Saturday, so if needed, bring your rain gear or possibly snow shoes!!! We are going to have a good time set up for folks to come out and enjoy. Cant wait to you all of you at the club.

I'll be there. Cindy is on Grandma Duty so most likely she will not make it. Having a 4yr old around the house for the weekend is tiring. I'll most likely be there around 3:00pm
