There were rumors they wanted to turn the area into a practice field for the SWB Yankees. I know the place was dangerous, however it is also historic. It would be cool if at least 1 was saved somehow. But I am sure it would cost more then it would be worth.

I haven't heard anything. I know there are some geocaches in that area and I haven't seen anything posted about them being disabled. There is some history behind CC, I owuld think they would try and preserve it.

I had not heard any thing about it being torn down. I do remember hearing something about the property being given to nanticoke.

I trained there when I was a vol. fireman.

Concrete city was an old mineing facility. Later in its life it was used as a training facility for local fire deptments. It was a good place because the buildings were all made of poured concrete.

I do not believe that the property was owned by any of the firemen who trained there. I had trained there over thirty years ago.

The local college has just built a new training center.
