Default Small amount of rust on XD

Just looked at my XD40 the other day and noticed a small amount of rust forming on the back of the slide right where you would grip it to pull the slide back.

What can I do to remove it without damaging the slide?

stainless or blued slide?..and yes, i actually know someone that let a stainless gun rust!..either way, if its very light, doesnt sound like anything a little cleaning solvent and a nylon brush cant handle, after that periodically wipe it down with a kleenbore silicone cloth. the salt in your sweat/hands will kill a finish, used to always happen to my kahr k9 when carried IWB. kahr's blued finish left much to be desired!

    It's blued.

Scrubbing it with solvent and a nylon brush helped take some of it off, but there's still a little remaining.

Thanks guys, I'll probably give them a call if I can't get the rest of it off.
