My newest 1911 is...drum roll pls....
Just want to share my newest acquistion, Just got it yesterday, I had to trade 2 of my guns to afford her hate losing any of my guns but i guess i wanted a quality, accurate and reliable 1911 i have to pay the price..She was not that expensive compared to a kimber or a loaded spring field or a colt..Here she is a Dan Wesson classic commander bobtail in 45acp..She was flawless in 100rds of fmj..sweet

The bevel is a design of Ed Brown. It's his Bobtail mainspring housing, and it requires cutting of the frame...but can be installed on almost any 1911. It removes 1/2" of material from the MSH area, and makes the gun easier to carry with more comfort, and less printing.
Dan Wesson/CZ chose to install these on some of their factory guns.
IMHO the Dan Wesson/CZ line of 1911 is VERY good. They are indeed production guns, but are assembled and shoot ALMOST like a custom 1911 costing twice as much.
I'm about to buy and customize a 1911 for pin shooting. Right now I'm stuck between buying a Dan Wesson Pointman 7 and a STI Trojan.
I'm a huge Colt fan...but the Dan Wesson 1911 line is really nice!

Buckmark is right they call it bobtail and its main purpose is it makes it easier to ccw, you will be surprise on how that small bobtail can make a difference in concealment..I bought semi used for 789..I found out that it was bought at my usual gunshop 6 months ago as a christmas present (we think) becs it was a female who bought it (the original gunshop did the research bec they are the only Dan wesson dealer in my area thats why i know it was only 6 months old), and was sold to my not so favorite gunshop where i ended up trade/bought it....I dont think the gun is even broken in yet, after shooting almost 110rds of fmj and jhp i field strip it and i was surprise how clean it is..so now i have to just keep working that slide and fieldstrip again and use some grease to loosen the slide to frame bec they are really very tight fitted..i know this becs. i also have a Pointman 7..here is the pics of my PM7

Does the PM7 come with the extra mag or did you have to buy it after market? I ordered my pointman this afternoon and can't wait to shoot it.

Sharp looking .45, I was just eye balling one today as a matter of fact.

They both came with 2 7rds mags and congrats on your pm7 you will like it guranteed!!one advice i will give you is if you are watching tv just take the mags out put it away somewhere and just keep sliding that slide bec they are very tight in relation to the frame , my gunsmith/dealer told me that they are hand fitted in the factory, use grease when cleaning and just keep working that slide untilyour wife gets annoyed or your hand starts getting tired
