I'm thinking green front and yellow (or maybe blue) rear. Since you want to be focusing on the front post anyway, the brighter dot should draw your eye.

BTW, Where are you getting the vials? I've got some projects in mind.

I don't know any specifics of how or who he gets them from. I just know they are kind of dangerous if they are broken of missused. I have to see what colors he has, but I like the idea of having the brighter vial in the front, now that I think about it. I will have to get him to show me this configuration before I decide for sure.

Actually, I like the idea of rolling your own...I've got an 1895 Nagant that could use a set!

there are night sights that come in two different colors. for example, i have meprolights that are yellow rears/green fronts. whether or not you can find them for your particular gun is a different question of course.

I am thinking green (most visible) for the rear, and the next brightest color (yellow) for the front.
i would suggest the other way. green front/yellow rears. you want the brightest sight to be the front sight. when shooting, you should be focusing on the front sight, not the rear sights. at close quarters (i.e., self-defense distances) especially, the rear sights are much less important than the front sight.

in fact, many instructors ingrain the saying "front sight, press, front sight, press" in their students to help them internalize how important it is to focus on the front sight.

you want the front sight to stick out like a sore thumb...and naturally draw your eye. thus, you want the front sight to be the brightest.

What kind of gun you trying to get sights for? Honestly i think getting sights made is a great idea. You could go the cheap way and less effective method of using Fishing Lure paint on them. Id go with getting them made. If you cant see a target in the dark then you need to fix the problem right? Solution is exactly what you got in mind.

I have never seen a PPS with night sights not even in a magazine or on the net. You should get the sights made. i guess because the gun is so small everyone thinks theres no need. I mean thats what i think. Its a great gun though i carry a walther P99QA. best gun i can get. i had a Glock 19 and my walther beat the 19 in all aspects i could think to test it.
