    Default Crossing State Lines??

Hey guys, new to forum. Great site!

If you own a pistol and have a ccw permit. Are you allow to cross state lines with the gun in your car. Does New Jersey honor PA permits/Licenses?

    Thanks.

some states honor pa carry permits, however none of our border states. NJ honors no permit, they dont allow guns period. do not take a gun into NJ.

No -- don't go. Everything you want is right here. You have a friend in PA!

To go to NJ it must be lcoked up, unloaded, and separate from your empty mag, and only if you are going through NJ (peaceful journey statue) or going directly to a shooting range or firearms sporting event.

so you can take a pistol from PA to a shooting range in NJ without any problems? I have a few friends who are police officers and they go to the range, and they live in NJ and go to NJ ranges. So if i wanted to go shoot with them. As long as the gun is seperate from the Amo and mag, i can travel to and from a NJ range from PA?

I am not a lawyer but it is my understanding that it is the case. I often take my pistols or rifles in to shoot with friends and family. Just lock everything up in the trunk in separate boxes and drive like you normally do.

Where do you shoot? Bullethole in Bellvile?
