I dont know why you woul dneed to carry anything @ Temple Univ...that campus is in the nicest, low crime rate area of the city....

Pepper spray sucks unless you plan on being upwind or not in a small hallway or elevator when you get robbed.

Well, yea, I'd rather have a pistol, and a shotgun better yet... but there are considerations to be taken.

If you're not allowed to carry a gun and you're not allowed to carry pepper spray . . . .

Why would you choose to carry pepper spray instead of a gun?

Exactly. I would get a LCP and a pocket holster. It wouldn't be my first choice but it works great if concealment is important.

As a further level of concealment don't tell anyone at school that you carry, even friends. College kids like to talk and there's no point concealing the gun if half the campus knows you have it. Plus, you run the risk of having an anti-gun person find out and tell the administration.

I think a knife and a small thing of pepper spray is less noticeable than my G26, and that I'd be far more likely to get expelled if caught with a firearm than pepper spray and a folding knife.

I feel your pain, as a fellow TU student. No weapons of any kind, as far as I know. I wonder what they consider a fist? Don't want to tell you to do anything 'illegal' (at least as far at TU is concerned), but think about alternatives and/or weigh the cost benefit of some other options.

Hmm... well I had two knee surgeries this summer... maybe I'll carry a 'walking stick' with a big skull-crusher knob on the end.
