i put a gun on layway 2 weeks ago and went to get it off today and it was sold. the guy that waited on me the day didnt put it in the back and dint put the laway o slip with the gu so it was sold, the gave me my money back and said the try to get another gun. they said when the two main gun guys aint there sumone has to run the gun counterand not everyone now what to do beware of dunhams maybe there is a reason the atf was investigating them.

That does suck. I hope you are able to find a duplicate of what it is you wanted. What was the item if I may ask?

that's a dicked up situation but i don't see how you were ripped off since they gave you your money back, explained the goof up and told you they'd try to get you another one. now if they deliberately sold the gun because someone else offered more money or refused to refund your money you'd have a right to be pissed. out of curiousity what type of gun was it? something unusual or something routine?

sounds like they got a bunch of rocket scientist working there. ive never had any problems with our local dunhams. hope you find what you wanted someplace else.

it was just a hp 995 carbine hard to find here and it was on sale, so notta big deal but still

They had one out at the Monroeville location, give them a call see if they still have it.

called monroeville they had it and their going give me the same price and hold it till monday because the can only sell mon. thur fri. 9-5
i'm gonna try to get a lil more discount or maybe a box of ammo or a discount on that. i went to west mifflin and the manager there said he be in monroeville there having a tent sale. they should give sumthing for my trouble i had to make my on phone calls and i got to drive to monroeville for their mistake.

I have found that Dunhams customer service is lacking at best. If you escalate to the manager or regional manager then you finally get what you should. Alot of work for not much return IMHO
