Default Video of Philly Police Firearms Room

Like most big city police departments Philly destroys a lot of the firearms it seizes, but it's hung on to about 1,200 of them -- this article in the Daily News includes an interesting video showing a few of them. Would love to get a closer tour of this place:

Interesting in the last few seconds of the video the officer mentions using "Every available option to protect yourself".

    Great video.

    I like the gangsta wall...

I like the weapons room in the FBI building in DC, thousands of guns just crying to be used by law abiding citizans. It was a pre 911 tour where they walked you passed a room full of firearms they used for ballistics comparisions and firearms training.

I wonder how many of those guns got confiscated from law abiding citizens Most people don't have the money to get a lawyer to get their firearms back.

I'll never understand the point of destroying guns...

You wouldn't destroy a car because the license plate fell off, why would you destroy a gun whos serial numbers were filed off?
