Default Rifles, ranges, and pistol caliburs

I'm looking at getting a Thompson next year, or perhaps some other 'rifle' like an Uzi or whatnot that fires a traditional pistol calibur (9mm, 45) but I'm not sure where you would go to fire them....do you tend to use the 100 yard rifle range, or the 25-50 yard pistol range?

    Thanks,

    camper

I would say 25-50 yard pistol range. they can make 100 yard shoots but that is pushing the limits.

    also look at:
    9mm ARs
    MP5 / clone
    H&K UMP/ UMC
    Beretta CX4 storm

I am sure there are others
