Exclamation compact 9mm concealed while joggin?

I have recently purchased a compact 9 mm and was wondering if anyone had any ideas for concealed carry while jogging.

Any sort of basketball shorts are not heavy enough to carry in the pocket. I was thinking about long pants and ankle carry but it is just too hot still.

    Any ideas?

Shoulder rig's are quite popular for this.
Fanny packs (ugh) but they work.
And then the smart carry belly band which wraps around your torso.

I don't have time to find the link, but 1iarrowking posted a link to a very inexpensive cloth shoulder rig that I was looking at for exactly this purpose. It's designed to go under a shirt.

I wish there was some kind of bandoleer style holster I could sling on while out in the yard, or while answering the door in the middle of the night, etc.

i CC a (full size 9mm) glock 17 while jogging.

i jog in "climbing" shorts that have a built in elastic belt (not just a string like basketball shorts). i use an uncle mikes nylon IWB holster.

i just put the gun in the holster and the holster in the waistband (at a little behind 3 o'clock for me, but it did take some trial and error to find the "sweet spot") with it clipped over the waistband and then cinch down the nylon "belt" pretty tight (but not uncomfortably so).

i know it sounds like this must be terribly uncomfortable for running, that the gun must "flop around" etc, but it really isn't/doesn't. i don't even notice the gun is there anymore.

I would 2nd the "fanny pack" if you want to stay conceled. Works best for me when I run/walk....PLUS it "blends in" with workout attire. No worries about a shirt riding up & over if you want to STAY conceled.

A fanny pack with regular street clothes (jeans & shirt)? No way...my wife would pee in her pants laughing at me.....however a fanny pack + running shorts, running shoes & a cool-max t-shirt? Heck yeah!

Fanny pack or Maxpedition-type shoulder bag would probably be your best bets.

It would probably help to know what gun you're carrying.

I don't jog, but I walk frequently. When it's hot, I wear athletic shorts with pockets in the front. I carry my S&W Model 36 in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster. It's kind of heavy in shorts, but for walking it's acceptable. My problem is all of the other stuff I carry as well. I'm going to buy a few pairs of shorts with cargo pockets.

Get some of the Under Armour underwear that are tight and have the heavy elastic band (thick) clip the IWB holster there and carry your gun there, then just put your basketball shorts on over. That's what I do when I walk/job and it works.

You can also clip the IWB to the UA underwear and shorts for added support.
