First, Go to www.sassnet.com, The West Shore Sportsmans Association,
holds a Cowboy Match the first Sunday of every month, by members of
the West Shore Posse. Fairview Township, York County, about 2.5 miles
off I-83, Lewisberry Exit. Come to the Match and meet a great group of
Cowboys/Cowgirls.

If you didn't need a shotgun and rifle and required to wear cowboy clothes, I'd enjoy cowboy action shooting with revolvers. I think they allow 1911's as one of your handguns.

Elstonville is very close to Lancaster City. Why not drop by and talk to some of the particapants, I'll bet they let you try it out after the match (that is how I started). I believe you wil find that Cowboy shooters are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Re: Cowboy action shooting
West Shore, Topton and one at Jefferson sort of South West of Lancasrer as I recall. Then there is one at Ickesburg, where I shoot, however, that will be about 1 1/4 hrs from Lancaster. If you check the web site for the Perry Co Regulators I believe they list all the times and dates for local shoots.
