Football Season
Well, The Defending Super Bowl Champs, The Steelers, are back in training camp. The time of Sundays in front of the TV or "dahntahn" at the game are upon us.
The Steelers have not lost any key components of their team from last year, and have upgraded a few spots (see ya Larry Foote). So I'm expecting another good run this year. I don't expect a repeat of last year, but I wouldn't be surprised by one, Only Tennessee and Baltimore give me pause in the AFC. I don't think Bradys knee will hold up all year so New England won't be a threat. In the NFC, I think the team to beat is Philly, yes, our brothers from the east. Arizona was kinda fluky last year. Carolina has defensive questions and Delhomme is too inconsistant. Atlanta might be pretty good. And no team from the North should contend, unless Minnesota signs Vick.
I was thinking of heading out to Latrobe to see training camp one day. I have never gone before, (hard to believe) but I hear its a good time. I just don't dig crowds in unfamiliar places. My 11 yr old said he wants to go, so I guess I have to overcome my unpleasantness and make the pilgrammage this year.
I am doing Fantasy Football again this year as well. Didin't do too good last year even though I had Warner at QB, Adrian Peterson at RB and Andre Johnson at WR. I guess I didn't have depth or something. Already working on my draft, checking the websites and reading mags.
My wife is disgusted with the football season already...

GO STEELERS

Just won a Football signed by Big Ben at Relay for Life. Too bad it comes with some baggage. The Steelers look ready to repeat, but it’s such a competitive league, not much separating the top form the bottom.

Re: Football Season
I am in football withdrawal... can't wait. I just bought a new 50" to replace my projection big screen, so I'm officially ready!
My family enjoys going to Saint Vincent for camp because my sister and I are also alumni. I can remember staying on campus instead of moving home during the summer of '85 (wow I feel old) for some classes. The steelers stayed in the regular dorms then, and ate meals in the dining room with us (off to their own side though). The nuns used to cook our meals back then... best college food ever!
