    Default Target World

A friend at work asked if I could take him & his daughter (she's 20) shooting. She's interested in guns and shooting, so I want to do what I can to encourage it. Is Target world still open and operating their indoor range? It's just a convienient place for us to meet and spend some time shooting. Thanks!

It is, but I would recommed classic pistol in southampton, better range, friendlier staff, all around prob a better experience. They also offer courses there as well. Not sure if target world does.

As far as i know they are still open. You could always call them to make sure of their hours.

I too would also consider classic pistol. Target World sometimes isn't too lady friendly.

Just went there Tuesday, open for business and yeah they need to work a little on customer service..

Brian at target world used to do classes but he told me he isn't doing anything lately because of the move which might not happen at all now.

a little while ago someone posted a complaint about target world not allowing someone to shoot on the range that was under 21 eventhough the person had paid the range fee. you're much better off driving 30 minutes and shooting at classic pistol than taking a chance messing around at target world. classic pistol is very well run with friendly staff and clean well lit lanes. to get to classic pistol take countyline rd south to 2nd street pike and make a left. while on 2nd street pike you'll cross over the turnpike and then make a right on industrial blvd. classic pistol is about a mile down on the right.

This is very true. I met another Pafoa member there - and he was under 21. They made him call his parents to get permission - I think he was 20 - what a joke. I completely forgot about that.

yes you have to be 21 or over or be with a gaurdian there.

that's more of a legal liability policy though. they don't want to be sued.
