    Default moving to Harrisburg

I may be moving to the Harrisburg area from out of State. Is the actual city of harrisburg OK to live in or do I want to live in one of the suburbs?

    Thank you for the help.

suburbs at best. the city is filled with filthy, vile, rude people and thats only the city council! are you looking for a home, condo or apartment?

There are a ton of places to live that are 10 minutes or less from Harrisburg that are decent. Unless you love city living, no parking and all the noise I say suburbs as well.

    Agreed.

You can also get to places that are downright rural within 20-25 minutes of Harrisburg.

Harder to find places to rent out there, though..

Definitely suburbs. You'll enjoy it up this way. Welcome the the area! Keep in mind, most people that work in harrisburg commute. The average range is between 5 and 35 miles. So check all around, it's a great area.

If you can find a place in Lebanon County the taxes are lots lower than in Dauphin County, AVOID HERSHEY / DERRY TOWNSHIP like the plaugue, taxes are ridiculous
