Where can I get new VCRs?
I've looked into TiVos, DVRs/hard drive video recorders, and just about everything else out there. Everything seems to be either buggy or expensive, or both.
Anybody know where I can get a new VCR (or two, or three) without spending $300 for a new DVD/VHS/tuner all-in-one? I think I've checked about everywhere in the county, and found no stand-alone VCRs. There are VCRs on eBay, but they all seem to be used or refurb, or the same crap that just started eating my tapes.
Somebody besides me must want to record TV shows without dropping at least $300 on a machine that may break down after a year or two anyway, or rent a DVR from the cable company for $16/month!! You'd think there'd be some simple solution, but I'm not finding it.Removed NRA Life Member pic. LaPierre and Chris Cox are ruining NRA.

Re: Where can I get new VCRs?
Hell I got an old one laying around at the house. It's not that old, I bought it my second year of college, so that was like 02. I've hardly been used and stored where it's not too dusty or anything. I don't even know what to ask for it, but make and offer of not very much and you pay the shipping and it's yours. I'll get a pic of it if you want. Probably similar to the crap that's been eating your tapes, lol. Seems like it's just a cheap 4 head vcr and remote. I'll have to look.

We have two here....and one is the newer HD model....The other one has a DVD burner built in.
I do own a VHS/8mm VCR though.....you dont see many of those dual formats around.
