if you have a california ccw, you can get a pennsylvania ltcf by applying at the centre county sheriffs office by mail.

if you are an unfortunate californian that lifes in a liberal area that doesn't issue gun permits like they are shal issue (san fransico, la, etc)... then you may carry on a utah or florida ccw open or concealed.

no carry liscence? no problem... you just can't carry a loaded gun and transporting, keep them in the trunk... ammo seperate from the gun... so when you land at the airport... take the ammo out of your gun lockbox and put it in a seperate bag.

    for carrying concealed/open:
prohibited places: schools, casino floors, and courthouses.
liscence required carry any state that has reciprocity with pa will do (florida and ut are popular).

oh yeah airport regulatiuons... guns must be declared and unloaded for checkin. you might have to proove them unloaded. ammo must be in original box packaging or secure foam or wood chip padded packaging. they can be in the same box. a box can have up to 4 pistols and i forget what the rifle rule is... full details on checking in and declaring your firearms are on the tsa's website. i flew out to ut for vacation and took my 38 special for concealed carry. followed the check in rules and had no problems.

    any other questions?

    any other questions?
my goal: to get every good person in the philly region responsibly armed.

You might want to be a little more specific... you can legally carry firearms to/from a shooting location in a vehicle... laws are generally not onerous for the situation as you describe it. Do you have a place to shoot? What do you want to shoot? A lot of guys on this forum can answer your questions, but need more info.

    hi everyone...

thanks for everybodys input on this.

so i do live in San Francisco, where laws are a bit absurd. they tried to take our guns away and failed.

i just needed to some info in transporting firewarms within the state, im good with TSA part of transport.

anyone have any suggestions for some outdoor ranges in the harrisburg area?
