    Default Gun Belts....

Are there any brands in particular to buy or avoid?

I'm just looking for a good stiff belt, my normal one is too flimsy and is stretching after a week.

A local shop carries Desantis belts for 40 dollars... I like the idea of being able to see it/ try it on but does anyone have any good online deals, or experience with the Desantis belts?

    Thanks!

Advice to OP: Please try using the "Search" function. This topic has been addressed on numerous occasions.

Anyways, I use a standard leather Garrison Belt available from just about any uniform/LE-supply stores. The one I'm using, even though has some scratches from the metal clip of my IWB holster, has held up well for over 6 years now; although I'll probably pick up a new one for "dressier" occasions when I want to have a "clean" appearance (especially on occasions when I choose to OC). Pricing (IIRC) is about $30-$35.

As far as DeSantis: Never had any experience with them, but others I've talked to give them good reviews.

    Hope this helps.

I bought a Galco belt recently. I think it was a Matrix series or something like that. Around $30 and it's working out well. Stiff enough to keep the holster where I want it, yet not so stiff that it's a nightmare to work with. I'll be buying another one in brown soon.

I have some 50 dollar gun belts. I have an 18 dollar all leather cowhide belt from a kiosk at the mall. It`s decent and I have an all leather belt from wall mart that I paid 12 bucks for. It`s real leather inside and out with some stiffener sewed in it. It`s as stiff as any gunbelt I own. And yes it says made in China on it but hold my galco nice and firm.

If you are blue jeans type of person, like me, I recommend the Wilderness Instructor Belts.
If your mode of dress is more formal I recommend a gun belt from K.L. Null or Milt Sparks.
