Florida resident purchasing a gun in PA...

I moved to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania from Citrus County, Florida a few months ago but have yet to transfer my Drivers License to Pennsylvania. Am I able to purchase a handgun or rifle in the State of Pennsylvania while having a Florida Drivers License? My local Wal*Mart has a sign saying that I am not allowed to purchase a gun from them. Is that only a Wal*Mart policy or is it a State policy?

Federal law. you must have a PA DL/ID, or it needs shipped to your home state.

Just wasn't sure if Pennsylvania made you wait like 2 - 4 weeks for the P.I.C.S. check to come back for new residence.

I'm pretty sure that only applies to handguns. I've bought rifles from out of state and brought them home with me.

You are correct, as long as the rifle/shotgun, is not prohibited in the buyers state.
