Do you change clothes after shooting?
As a noob I've been doing lots of reading, some of which suggested that one should change clothes after shooting to avoid spreading little lead particles everywhere.
I always make sure to wash my hands and face, but do many people change clothes as a matter of practice?

Re: Do you change clothes after shooting?
I think that is a bit excessive, as I've read that lead is not as dangerous to adults as it is to children whose brains and bodies are still developing. I fish ALOT and have always piched sliptshot on and off with my teeth and I have even used my mouth to hold a sinker while tying on a hook. But I will not even let my kids hold a sinker! and I often wonder about my 5 year olds matchbox cars some of which used to be mine so I know they date back to a time when the lead content wasn't monitored. So far I have not turned into the vilage idiot! (but some may argue) I guess washing your hands is a good practice but I dont think the amount of lead on your clothes from a shooting seesion should be more of a concern than the amount of car emmisions, asbestos, silca dust or radiation we are exposed to on a daily basis.

I usually change clothes after getting home from the range but that's mainly because when you spend the day at the range in AZ in July, you tend to smell pretty bad. Other than that I usually just enjoy smelling like Russian ammo and Hoppes No 9.

So do you change your clothes after cleaning the cat's litterbox? LOL
I wash my hands 30 times and change my clothing, then take it off and shower for an hour, then wash my hands again!
LOL
Nah, I don't change my clothes after shooting, heck I don't even wash my hands right afterwards either unless they got dirt or something on them. I like having " gun hands".LOL, I am a woman...
