Purchase of firearm by Military personnel?
Anyone know what the laws are regarding the purchase of a firearm by Military personnel stationed in PA. In particular, if they purchase and pass the background check can they take their firearm with them or is there a waiting period?

Re: Purchase of firearm by Military personnel?
Military personnel stationed in PA are regarded as PA residents. They can buy long arms or handguns. All the FFL has to do is talk to a PICS operator to give then the persons info. The military person should make a copy of his orders assigning him to his station in PA and give it to the FFL to attach to the 4473. I've done this several times for military, some that were going to PSU (graduate programs). Never had a problem.

BTW, I believe Glock will give military folks the LEO discount. You have to go to certain dealers who participate with Glock in this program.
That is if you want a half plastic handgun...LOL!
Just kidding... I own one

They need to be PCS orders, not TCS or TDY.
A Republic, if you can keep it.
