hoping for branch valley membership
I will be submitting my membership application this fall to Branch Valley all the while keeping my fingers crossed that it will be accepted. This place is apparently hard as hell to get into. I was wondering if I need to supply payment when I submit my application or wait for word on whether it was accepted or not. I hope it works out as I need a place to shoot and this is not far from me. Looks like ridge and valley might be an option too???

Re: hoping for branch valley membership
They have turn over like all the clubs. I wouldn't worry to much.

Last I heard was that they have recently increased their membership limit (550?) but that all are filled and they do not expect any opening this year. I would still try - just passing along what I've heard..... Good luck.

Re: hoping for branch valley membership
Don't hold you're breath for BV. It is legendary in this area how next to impossible it is to get in there, I gave up years ago.
OTOH, it's as easy as falling off a log getting into R&V. Go to their website, download application, send in the $65, show up next meeting..get your card. Only problem is, you will need to renew come March. Nice place though.

Re: hoping for branch valley membership
Branch Valley is not that hard to get in. 5 of us got in this past January. With the economy the way it is right now every year more members are not able to maintain their dues and there are openings. The club is one of the best clubs out there in my opinion especially if you like shooting year round. I took Glockmaster shooting there this past weekend and I am sure he is asking about this because he enjoyed the club so much. Most of the guys that I have heard say that they can't get in have never tried to get in. Just get a sponsor. I would be more than happy to have guys come to the club with me as a guest.

I'm very new there and have not been yet but the only downside from what I hear it the one shot loaded at a time rule or something like that.

There is no rule for the club that states that you have to have no more than one round loaded in your firearm.
