bringing own target stands to sgl 43: NEED ADVICE!!!
Hey guys, I went to sgl 43 public range today and was very disappointed to find it is almost impossible to shoot a handgun there anymore. This is due to only 50 and 100 yard target stands now. I guess due to irresponsible gun owners. Anyways I was thinking about building my own wooden stand to bring to the range to put at a closer distance in order to accurately shoot and sight in my handguns. Nothing too big, maybe something 3' by 4'. I need suggestions, do you guys think this would go against any rules?

From the PGC website, and in the Hunting Digest:
Prohibited Acts
Discharge a firearm, except from an established shooting station on the firing line at a paper target placed on a permanent backboard
You can read the range rules on page 17 of the online digest.

Join a gun club. Heck if you're willing to drive that far to get to the game lands there are definitely gun clubs much closer to you.
