Can I carry at the Post Gazette Pavilion?
I mean do they have metal detectors, or a through pat down? headed down there this weekend for a concert, and would like to have at least my ankle rig.

Re: Can I carry at the Post Gazette Pavilion?
Seems to have a lot of problems as a venue from what I've read:

Re: Can I carry at the Post Gazette Pavilion?
Last time I went there in early 2000, they saw my chain wallet as I was pulling out the tickets and said "You'll have to remove that at the security booth." So I walked over and took off the chain, then the lady at the counter told me to hop over the flower bed to meet up with my friends, bypassing all security and metal detectors. Fhew! That was a close one, they almost let me in with an 8" chain! It's ok though, I just connected my ammo belt to the wallet to keep it secure all night.

I concur with all the above.
Legally you can, but its their policy to not allow weapons and certain other items. As mentioned just above, even chains on wallets will deny you entrance(been there, done that too).

It seems to depend on the act. Metal shows mean metal detectors. Sting or soft rock do not seem to rate the same level of security.
Never underestimate the value of early training.

Re: Can I carry at the Post Gazette Pavilion?
ok, so I carried my glock 26 on my ankle, went through security, they patted me down (very poorly) and I proceeded through to watch an awsome show. Nickelback definetly did it up nice, good show, saw some bras and panties flyin, and a few other things ended up on the big screen. awsome that I got to carry with out a problem, disappointed in the pat down. why do it at all if your going to completely miss a pistol. although the um... woman? in the lane next to me seemed to be doing quite a thorough pat down.
