Conspiracy .22 Cal Theory...

Are we all falling into a dumbing down of our various calibers that we carry and shoot? Our regular calibers that we shoot and carry with ammo / primer shortages are causing alll of us to look at .22 conversions and .22 platforms like the GSG are dumbing us down. It just dawned on my tonight when I was researching .22 AR conversions and a 1911 conversion that we are becoming California. Do any of you think this is a "MasterPlan" of the anti movement? Sort of makes ya think doesn't it. I find it hard to believe that in this economy that a primer or ammo mfr. wouldn't be cranking out product like crazy.

If we were becoming California, the next step would be to effect a ban on bullets that contain lead in a majority of the state. That way, even the .22 LRs are out unless you have the new Winchester lead-free .22 LRs (which seem difficult to find).

I do not believe that the anti's believe in compromise, they believe in the outlawing of nearly all firearms through slow and methodical "common sense reasoning" on our part. We give them ground. The end goal would be something like the UK. The truth that no anti and few pro gunners will admit is that we don't have rifles and pistols to go hunting or to target shoot, we have them to fight back against a government that goes tyrannical. Anti's believe in a peaceful society where the police protect us and people obey the laws. I believe in a peaceful society where the people protect themselves and the police obey the laws. It's no more a conspiracy than our belief, they just have a much different, historically ignorant, and frighteningly utopian one.

They ARE cranking it out like crazy. They are also selling it like crazy. More ammo was sold during the first quarter of this year than is normally sold in an entire year. Glory days for the ammo industry!

the 22 kits are for practice and cheap plinking, thats it, thats what they were invented for, and intended for.

I get where your coming from easily enough.....and kinda like the take on the situation. But I doubt it's an actual conspiracy. It would have to involve the ammo companies and I don't think they'd be onboard with the antis or government.
