Car Accident while O.C. A+++++ for the LEO
So my girl and i are heading down Perkioming avenue yesterday headed from her house in Mt. Penn to my mothers for a picnic. We took two cars since i was heading to work the next morning and she was heading home. I was following her. As we are driving, i see her brake lights and hear her horn blasting. There is an older guy, aproximatly 60-70 years old, carrying a bucket in one hand, and he walks right into her lane. With no oncoming traffic, she swerved to avoid hitting him by pulling into the other lane. As she swerves (doing about 15mph) he decides to run across the street, directly into her path AGAIN. She clips him with the passanger side of her car and he falls down on his knees. She pulls over, as do i, and while i run over to the guy, she calls the cops. A younger cop shows up about 3 minutes after we call which i found to be quite impressive considering all the horror stories i read about 20 minute 911 calls. He talks to all the witnesses, the guy, and my girl and i, eventually wrapping it up with a police report in the other guys fault for not using a crosswalk or looking before he stepped out into traffic. He was kind, polite, proffesional, and not once did he say anything about me open carrying. He did take multiple glances at my hip but didn't bring it up once. As soon as we get our copy of the report, i will be sending a letter to the police chief, commending this officer for his quick response and proffesional attitude through out the situation.

Ouch. I guess the guy is OK? And your wife sounds OK.
I would rep the cop if he shows up in this thread.

Yes, the gentleman she hit was ok. Minor scrape on his leg but nothing else. I'm really glad he wasn't hurt.
