Am visiting bushkill area this weekend and wanted to know of good family places to eat and any other area info. I will be with my family for a weekend getaway and I will be CC.

Honestly I rarely find myself going up through there since the traffic is such a pain at Marshall's Creek (sorry to all my Pike County friends), but just try to patronize the local restaurants if at all possible, when recommended. Chains are only helping to destroy (or at least dilute) the area's culture, IMO...

    Enjoy the Poconos

Howdy vetter3006. Bushkill calling. As has been said, there is all kinds of food in the area, and, of course, all kinds of waterfalls.
For a bit more local flavor, on rt. 209 just south of the Del water gap rec area, across the street from Ceasar's Pocono, this is a little place called LaRosa's pizza. It on on the end of a strip mall, but they have a full Italian menu, and the food is great. Try a "lovely burger" (pepperoni c'burger).
On Bushkill falls road is The Log Cabin, now back in the original owners hands. Have not been there since the original owner took it back over, but was good when they had it before.
All up rt. 209 starting at Bushkill falls road there are different falls. Most are free via NPS. If you go up 209 north until you see the light at rt. 739, you will see a visitors center there, and there is a great waterfall, with multiple platforms for viewing there, always cool and shady, go past the first little fall and keep walking the path.
You willl have a PM shortly.
