where can I find a Svt-40?

Does anyone know where I can find an svt-40? I really like this rifle and have been unable to find one anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Dick's Pawn Shop in Surfside Beach, S.C. had one for $995.00 and it sure was a pretty one.
Surfside beach is the next village south of Myrtle Beach.
Dick's is at route 544 and route 17(business).
My wife wouldn't let me buy it .

Don't know where you can find one now, but it's one of my favorites. Bought mine in 1997 and haven't seen any in a while.

Artificially scarce in the US so the price keeps increasing. Saw a few at the last gunshow for $1000+. There are millions of them out there, unfortunately they are banned from import to the US due to their Russian origin.

They sell for around $400 in Canada.


BTW, it's www.classicarms.us but they don't seem to have any SVTs.

keep an eye on http://forums.gunboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=75 I have seen a few at gunshows but at crack head prices. I keep seeing the same ones. Maybe they should get the hint their prices are too high. Anyway, be vigilant in your search. They pop up for between $700-900. $800 seems to be the going rate. Save yourself the transfer fee and get a C&R if you don't already have one.
