what liscense is needed for shooting groundhogs?

i plan on getting a small game liscense but is that all i need to go kill some GH in a farmers field? i might have a field i can shoot all the groundhog i would like but i want to know the regulations? caliber? day of week? season?

Your general hunting license is all that is needed to shoot ground hogs. You must have on a SOLID blaze orange cap. Legal arms for hogs all depends if you are hunting them in special regs areas or not.

The orange requirement for groundhog hunting is a solid orange hat. There is no other allowable way to don your orange. I wear a solid orange boonie hat. Legal orange and shade for the face all in one convenient package.

From the PGC website:

Woodchuck— No closed season except during the regular firearms deer
seasons and until noon daily during the spring turkey season. Hunting is
prohibited on Sundays.
