What does the helgramite larva look like? Cuz one time I was removing by hand part of a beaver dam and found a zillion funky big larvae of something in there. This was in march and the creek is a known trout stream.

Hell that's nothing. You shoulda seen the big sumbitch I caught in AZ. I can't remember what it was called but it was about 4 inches long, black, spikey with massive pinchers hanging off the front of its face.

It was pushing a metal coffee can with a motorcycle front brake master cylinder in it across my front porch.

I still have it's dead body in a jar in storage. I'll have to find a pic of what it looked like.

I want to see it.

Steer clear of the front end if you handle them. They have a nasty bite. I've never actually seen one that light in color. Most of the ones around here are real dark brown or black.

It was a black angry one like we have around here. The light colored ones look like they would make good pets compared to the black.
