FTF sale to someone from another state?
Any legal issues with doing an FTF handgun sale (at an FFL of course) with someone from WV? Someone from WV on a forum is interested in my Glock 21SF that I'm selling, and will be in PA later this week.

Re: FTF sale to someone from another state?
Doesn't the sale have to be done at an FFL in the buyer's home state?
Found it:
Sales Between Individuals
An individual who does not possess a federal firearms license may not sell a firearm to a resident of another state without first transferring the firearm to a dealer in the purchaser`s state. Firearms received by bequest or intestate succession are exempt from those sections of the law which forbid the transfer, sale, delivery or transportation of firearms into a state other than the transferor`s state of residence.Last edited by HiredGoon; June 22nd, 2009 at 12:52 PM.

Handguns must be at a FFL in the receiving party's state.
Long guns can be at a FFL in either party's state.

Thanks fellas. So if he wants the gun he can just give me cash and I can mail it to his FFL of choice in WV I'm assuming.
