    Default SigPro sp2022?

Anyone have any experience with this gun? A dealer nearby has a few NIB for $429, which is less than I would pay for a used Glock 19. Are these good guns? I'm going to be selling my G21SF and making the switch to 9mm.

Who has them in for that price. Seems like a good price.

I have one and i like it, they shoot very well and are as reliable as anyother polymere framed gun on the market, plus its a SIG. Thats a great price and if i didnt just get a P225 i would be there to get one. there is no down side to buying one. i say go for it you will be pleasently supprissed.

You really can't go wrong with the Pro. I have one in 9mm and its my usual carry piece. It is a little hard to conceal in the summer months though. I typically carry IWB at 4o'clock with a Blackhawk! IWB leather holster.

It is reliable, accurate, and it is of course a Sig. I am actually a better shot with the Pro than I am with my Mosquito.

Anyway, I have found one drawback. Since Sig discontinued the Pro in the States (replaced by the P250), you are probably not going to find extra magazines or holsters for it at your local gun shop. There is always online shopping for that stuff, but I am someone who prefers to find that stuff at the local shop if possible. The Pro is still sold internationally (it is the official sidearm of the French police...make of that what you will), so spare parts should available for awhile.

Can't go wrong with the Sig 2022 at all. Probably one of my favorite polymer pistols out there and a close tie with the G19 for me. Mags are still plentyful right now, as are most spare parts you'd need (recoil springs, etc.). I picked mine up with 3 mags for around $469 if I recall correctly. Most I've seen in my travels have 2 mags these days though, either way your price is a good one! I saw one at a shop in Bedford PA the other day for $539 with 3 mags, and everything. Overall it's a package that's hard to beat in it's price range. Mine has a really nice trigger and is very accurate when doing my part.

The Sigpro series has the best triggers of all SIGs , you will absolutely love that light sweet trigger, very good guns, that s a good deal , i paid 399 for mine used and its the best $400 i ever spent on a gun, absolutely accurate and reliable.
The Europeans like them so much that the French put in a order for 3 million of these.

And if youre worried about extra hicap mags i know a dealer here in Monroe co. that has about 60 mags brand new in the Sig wrappers for 20 bucks a piece, he keeps them in a box behind the counter because no one but me ask for them .

Going from the GOCK trigger to a DA/SA will not be as easy as just getting a 9mm GLOCK or M&P or XD or any other gun with one consistant trigger.

The SP 2022 is a great gun, but it is .40 S&W. I alternate between it and a SIG P220 for my EDC gun. I can get a conversion barrel for .357 SIG, but why? To the best of my knowledge, the 9mm version is the SP 2009.

ETA: I see the 2022 is also available in 9mm. But I like my fotay.

The difference between the the 2009 and 2022 was the accessory rail. The 2009 uses a proprietary Sig design, while the 2022 has a standard Picatinny rail.

Nyman, who is the dealer with the sig pro mags? I would more than happy to take a few off his hands.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Once I get my Glock 21SF sold I'm going to go handle the 2022 and see how it feels in my hand. Do you think it will be a problem in the future getting the gun serviced since it's being discontinued? How long is Sig's warranty?
