Default This is not supposed to be!

This is not supposed to be , Why is this happening? This is not supposed to be , why is my Ruger GB mini shoot Winchester 40 grain varmint rounds into the size of a dime at 30 yds? Isnt this 40 grain round too light for the 1-9 twist of the mini's barrel?
Isnt the mini supposed to be a woefully inaccurate Gun? Why is it shooting ss109 to an inch at 50 yards? What could have gone wrong? why is this happening? I dont mean to be facetious, i am really puzzeled.

Ihope you guys can shed some light on the problem.

    Thanks Nyman

That's easy...you keep missing and the slugs keep hitting the same wrong hole. Especially if you're aiming at the head, but the cluster is on the gonads...

i own a ruger GB and always found it to have pretty decent accuarcy but not up to par with my colt AR15. while not as accurate as the AR the GB is a great gun for plinking and can easily engage targets out to 100-200 yds. the mini 14 was never designed to be a tack driver just a reliable woods gun for taking down varmints and plinking water jugs. the newer models are supposed to have a lot better accuracy than the older varients. i saw a new mini 14 two days ago that had a sidefolding AR style stock and flash hider that looked pretty good.

Hate to brake it to you, but 1" at 50 is not that accurate. Do it at 100 yds consistently and you might be on to something. Is the rifle scoped? If not, good job.
