    Default SIG-P226 refurb

Hi from Georgia. I need advice on a purchase. My dealer has a factory refurbished SIG-P226 for 549.00. It looks brand new and has a one year warranty. Do y'all think this is a good buy? I'm not one to buy used guns but I love this one! (It's a .40) Any advice will really be appreciated.

I love my sigs and as far as used
these are police trade ins they are the best deal going on sigs considering a new one
    will cost about 850.00
And some used ones will be around the $600-700 range.
They are the most reliable, and in my oppinion the finest combat pistols ever made after the 1911 of course

If it were refurbed by SIG it will be very good, if it were refurbed by SIG it should come inside a red box, ask to see the box for it. If its not a red box it most likely were not refurbed by sig , Nyman

I own two Sig Sauer P226's. A regular Night Sighted 9mm and i just picked up my P226 Combat. I am absolutely in love with both of them, i did the Combat more though. I'll never sell my P226's. I'd say go for it. Thats a decent price. Around $550 is the cheapest i've found for used P226's around my way, thats regardless of if they were factory refurbished or not.

I couldnt agree more, except i think the Sig P226's outdo the 1911's in every aspect, but i wont get into that can of worms right now.

Like others have said, if it comes in a red plastic box, it's a CPO (Certified Pre-Owned)
CPO's go for anywhere between $500 - $575, depending on where you buy them.

The only "issues" that some early CPO's had was the finish was sub par and it pealed. I haven't this problem come up in a long time - over a year now. Hopefully Sig got that straightened out.

IMHO, you can't go wrong with a CPO Sig. At less than $600. OTD, it's a great deal.

Buy it. Pre-owned Sigs are as good as new and will need to be broken in with at least a few thousand rounds.

If you plan to carry the gun, then who cares about holster wear or any other surface blemishes. Most of the refurbished ones I have seen look just like the brand new ones.

    Don't forget to get a 220, and a 229, maybe a 228, or a P6 while you are at it.

Today its raining so I have my Sig on my hip in place of my 1911.

Let us know how it turns out for you.

    Yes, definitely, get it now.

Sigs are in demand, especially the refurbs, so chances are the stock will dry up pretty quickly. Reliability is a given, even with a single-year warranty. You can buy Blazer Brass for practice with the $200+ you save over buying new.
