Appalachian Trail Hikes
I love hiking, and am looking to get out this summer and do some weekend hikes, especially on the Appalachian Trail.
Based on experience, what are some of the best portions of the trail to hike (scenery-wise), the kind of hike where you can spend an hour just sitting staring at the view? I have hiked the Pinnacle near Hamburg and some stuff around Wind Gap, but I am looking for anything from basically Virginia to Vermont.
(Primarily, I am looking for somewhere I can carry, but if there happens to be an amazing part of the trail in one of the bordering People's Republics that might be an option as well)And don't think you're off the hook, voters, you're the ones who made this bed. Now you're the ones who are going to have to move over so a gay couple can sleep in it. Tomorrow you're all going to wake up in a brave new world, a world where the Constitution gets trampled by an army of terrorist clones, created in a stem-cell research lab run by homosexual doctors who sterilize their instruments over burning American flags. -- Stephen Colbert
