38 spec "airweight"-type revolver Found one--thanks
I'm looking for a USED 38 spec revolver that I can carry fishing. It must be light, with concealed hammer or shrouded hammer or one that I would not cry about if I modified it.
Preference would be a +P rated and do not really care about a few knicks or scratches, as long as it is tight. I also would prefer a S&W (because I am retiring a 38-1 airtweight that I love), but would consider other brands.
Please keep the price reasonable--this is not a collector but a working gun for snakes of the footless and dual foot variety or for signaling (that is why I indicated that appearance is not of high importance).
Not interested in a new pistol unless you do 30% below wholesale :-)
Cash at a local ffl and will travel a reasonable distance to accommodate you.
I also have a number of pistols, a tricked out Highpoint carbine with ATI stock and Red Dot, Makarovs, a PF9 and others I could trade if you are interested--value for value.
PM or email me at redvette at comcast.net (no spaces, @ for at)
Thanks in advance.Last edited by cigarman; June 25th, 2009 at 09:30 AM.
In Theory there is no difference between theory and practice,
In Practice, there is.

Re: 38 spec "airweight"-type revolver (consider trades)
Still looking Charter or Taurus would be of interest to me. Just missed a Carter Off Duty by an hour at a local shop--gotta keep looking...
