grenades?
is it possible for a normal civ to purchase and or own live grenades whether they be hand or for launching? and if so how /where does one go about doing this?

im pretty sure you cant have one.......i would think the gov would say u have no legal purpose for an explosive device.....what would u use it for self defence???? i really would be shocked if someone would say u could possibly get one legally

Yes, provided you live in a state where Destructive Devices are legal AND you register it (assuming you can pass) with the ATF and pay the $200 fee.

Grenades are considered destructive devices and I'm not sure if they are legal to own. If they are legal, it likely requires ATF approval. I'm moving this thread to the NFA/Class 3/Title II forum, as there's likely someone who frequents that part of the site that can answer your question.
