Does anyone carry rail mounted light/laser systems?
I know a fellow who carries his rail mounted laser/light system in his pocket incase he needs to attach it to his glock. It seems kind of silly but it had me wondering if anyone else out there does this?
I know it's kind of hard to have these things on your gun while carrying because most holster companies dont offer this. You need to have a custom made holster to fit your gun and specific system model.

Re: Does anyone carry rail mounted light/laser systems?
That pretty much sums it up...
Seems to me the same thing could be accomplished by investing in a set of Crimson Trace grips and a mini flash light with the end cap on/off switch. You wouldn't need to worry about attaching the light/laser to the rail in a hurry. Even if you needed the light it would still be quicker to grab it that to affix the light system to the rail. Just my $0.02

Good luck attaching that stuff while you're scared to death and shaking.
And considering a gunfight is going to be over in 5 seconds, when does he plan on putting the stuff on anyhow?

Actually, yes. G32 with Blackhawk ziphos in a BLackhawk Serpa made for the pair.
Why? Because I work nights.
I also carry a seperate flashlight for times when I don't want or need my weapon out.

I can only guess that's probably true. Except in the cases where you realize there might be danger afoot before shots are fired. Like if you are at your unarmed friend’s house and you see stuff going on outside. Or you decide the likelihood of confrontation in a parking lot is so great that you duck it by running into the woods.

Not really a terrible thing I guess considering they work just fine when not attached to the gun, and shall the need arise where u have the time to slap it on(very quick and easy IMO) you can do so.
Not sure it'd be my first choice though

Re: Does anyone carry rail mounted light/laser systems?
If I know I'm going out for the night/specifically expect some place(s) where it will be dark I have a good kydex holster that fits the XD45 with a TLR-1. It's bulky and I always have a regular flashlight or 3 on me anyway. I actually like the combo of my XD-9 SC with tritium fiberoptic sights. Anything too much bigger stops being practical for every day carry.
