    Default Pistol Grip

Never been hunting before but deer is all over the place by me. I have mossberg 500 cruiser pistol grip. I bought a stock for it because after like a dozen spent shells it takes a toll on your hand. What i was wonder is can you legally hunt with a pistol grip shotgun if not am I aloud to hunt with it now that i have a stock on it...i have pics of it if anyone needs to see it to determine the legality of it....cause i think i heard something about the 7 points of a gun?

    thanks

You can hunt with a pistol right? ...they have pistol grips.

In short, you can hunt with it with shoulder stock and/or pistol grip.

You can hunt with a sawed off shotgun(SBS), a short barreled rifle, hell even an AOW(smoothbore pistol or handgun not resembling a gun). You can even hunt with a suppressor.

There are no laws against hunting with a pistol gripped shotgun. Nor are there laws or regs about using short barreled shotguns, short barreled rifles, silencers, or Any-Other-Weapons*.

*Any-Other-Weapon = smooth bore pistols, cane guns, pen guns, palm pistols, suitcase guns, etc, etc, etc..

No laws against it, but I don't know if I'd do it.

Pistol grip shotguns are mainly point and shoot. Not a good idea with a slug.

Buckshot might work, but that is restricted to a small area.

So...as long as you are allowed to have the weapon, you are allowed to hunt with it as long as it falls withing the specific hunting guidelines ie. caliber restrictions etc?
