Default New revolver for a semi-auto guy ...

Up until a couple of months ago of the 24 handguns in my safe exactly two were revolvers - a Colt Trooper and a Ruger Single Six. Now two of the last three additions have been wheel guns. I picked this one up today. It has the "hated" internal lock but she still looked beautiful to me. Weather permitting, I hope to take it to the range tomorrow. I haven't yet picked up a moon clip tool for the .45 ACP's, but a deep socket wrench seems to work pretty well for popping the brass out of the clip.

Wow, those are some really nice gun pictures. I especially like the last picture; very nice macro shot!

Hey highrider, I love that revolver, very shiny!

How in the world do you get such great results when taking pictures? (me and cameras don't get along for some reason or another!)

    Take care,

    Rand

You start with a shiny gun, then add lights!
You might not get those results with a satin finish gun.

    Nice.
    All of it.

Gotta stop looking at this stuff... I'm really wanting a revolver lately, don't have any money left after the G27 purchase and this isn't helping!

    Thanks Frenchy, I appreciate it!

Seriously though, I was talking about the clarity and crispness of the photo.

    Take care,

    Rand,

Thanks for the kind words but I'm really not much of a photographer. The only technique I know is to use natural light (no flash or artificial light). I set the camera on a little tripod or something to hold it steady, set it to macro, set the self-timer, and let her rip.

If you want a real treat, go over to Sigforum.com and look at some of the pictures posted by "lunde". He is truly an artist with a camera.

    Thanks again, Frank.
