My very best group with the DPMS was .314, but my averages would be in the mid .4s. They truly are great shooting rifles and some of the ammo that I used was just factory Federal hunting loads to break in the barrel.

Once the barrel was broken in, I was using BH 168gr and FGMM 168 gr. Recently, I have been loading Hornady 17gr A max. I need to tweak those loads because they shoot well out of my 5R, but the OAL gets snagged on the mags in the DPMS.

Those are some nice groups indeed! I used to have the Panther LR308 with the stainless heavy barrel when I had it they only came with 10rd plastic mags that really sucked. How do you like those new metal mags?

The metal mags work a lot better than the plastic mags. DPMS has a trade in program where if you send in the plastic mags and I believe $11 per mag, they will upgrade you to the 20 round metal mags. I think they should do an even swap, but that's just me. I still have 2 plastic mags...I figured they might become collectors items down the road. haha
